Bake rectangular-shaped cakes to perfection with the Ateco 12812 aluminum rectangular straight-sided cake pan! Made of durable 14-gauge anodized aluminum, this cake pan features straight sidewalls which are ideal for layer cakes. Compared to pans with tapered sides, this straight-sided pan creates smooth cake edges and helps eliminate wasted product since the edges don't need to be trimmed off. The 3" deep design will help add height to any cake you bake! Its anodized aluminum construction makes it non-reactive to foods, scratch resistant, and resistant to rusting and blistering for long-lasting use. It also reflects heat for a gentle bake, helping to prevent cakes from burning. This sets it apart from traditional aluminum pans which absorb heat and produce darker final products.
This item is not coated, so parchment paper should be used to prevent the cake from sticking to the pan. It does, however, feature folded edges around the top perimeter of the pan, which makes it easier to grab the pan from the oven and flip it over onto your bakery counter to release the cake.
